Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid Begins Official Visit to India

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed will begin his official visit to India on Sunday.

According to official news agency WAM, he will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to talk about fostering relationships in important economic areas.

The head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Khalid, will be joined by a high-ranking group that includes ministers, senior officials, CEOs, and important trading partners of the UAE.

The Crown Prince will attend a number of events highlighting the strong ties between the two countries.

Earlier this week, Sheikh Khalid attended the inauguration of the first international campus of India’s prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in the UAE capital, highlighting how it will help develop the skills of the country’s young talent.

Sheikh Khaled has signed several agreements between IIT Abu Dhabi and many leading universities in the emirate.

The partnership is in line with the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which came into effect in February 2022, and seeks to strengthen ties between the countries.

Modi inaugurated Babs Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi during his visit to the United Arab Emirates in February. The countries also signed an agreement to expand bilateral investment cooperation in digital infrastructure.

In January, President Sheikh Mohammed met Modi when he visited India and attended the Vibrant Gujarat Business Summit.
