UAE: IGCSE/GCSE Results Released; Many Schools Achieve 100% Pass Rate

Excitement around IGCSE/GCSE results
Students in British Curriculum schools were excited when they got their IGCSE/GCSE (International/General Secondary Education) results on August 22.
Impressive results across GEMS schools
JMS Education reported strong results across its British Curriculum schools. More than 3,800 students from 23 schools in the UAE and Qatar completed 26,400 IGCSE/GCSE exams. Within the GEMS network, 14% of entries received an outstanding grade 9 or A*. Additionally, 22% achieved grades 9-8 (A*), 40% achieved grades 9-7 (A*-A), 60% achieved grades 9-6 (A*-B) and 83% achieved grades 9-4 (A *-B) A*-C).
Highlights from notable schools
Jumeirah College Dubai: 27% of GCSE entries achieved grade 9 and 85% of students achieved grades 9-6 (A*-B).
GEMS Wellington International School: 26% of entries scored grade 9 or A* and 81% achieved grades 9-6 (A*-B).
GEMS Cambridge International Private School–Sharjah: 45% of entries received grades 9-8 (A*).
GEMS Wellington Academy-Silicon Oasis: 60% of entries awarded grades 9-6 (A*-B).
GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa: 55% of entries achieved grades 9-6 (A*-B).
GEMS Metropole School – Motor City: 56% of entries received grades 9-6 (A*-B).
School principals celebrate student success
Gems Education Deputy CEO Dr. Saima Rana felicitated the students. She emphasized that their success was just the beginning and encouraged them to explore future opportunities, whether it was in A-levels, the IB Diploma Program or vocational training.
100% success rate benefits
Dubai British School Jumeirah Park: Principal Rebecca Coulter announced 100% passes in all 28 subjects. 46% of students achieved A* and A grades, with over a third achieving A*.
Dubai British School Emirates Hills: Principal Brett Girven congratulated Year 11 students for their excellent results in their first public examinations. He highlighted the hard work of the students and the school’s commitment to excellence.
