Largest Shipment of Aid Arrives in Egypt for Gaza Distribution

The 7th UAE humanitarian aid ship, the “Zayed Humanitarian Ship,” docked at Al Arish Port in Egypt on March 18, marking another significant step in the country’s ongoing relief efforts for the Palestinian people in Gaza. The UAE’s commitment to provide immediate aid is further demonstrated by the ship’s arrival, which coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and comes before Zayed Humanitarian Day.

The delegation visits the UAE Floating Hospital and welcomes the aid ship.
A high-level UAE team, comprising Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), Egyptian officials, and representatives from other nonprofit groups, welcomed the ship upon its arrival.

The delegation also toured the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, which was established as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 to provide medical services to injured Palestinian residents from Gaza. During their visit, they inspected different hospital departments, met with patients, and assessed the medical assistance being provided. Additionally, they visited UAE aid warehouses in Al Arish, which store essential relief materials for Gaza.

A Massive Humanitarian Shipment for Crisis Relief


The Zayed Humanitarian Ship, which departed from Hamriyah Port in Dubai on March 1, is the largest aid shipment sent as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
It carries 5,820 tonnes of vital humanitarian items, including as dates, food supplies, medical equipment and medications, and shelter supplies. This delivery seeks to address the pressing needs of Palestinian families impacted by the continuing humanitarian crisis in order to lessen suffering in Gaza.
