UAE Condemns Israeli Statements, Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia and Palestinian Rights
Abu Dhabi [United Arab Emirates], February 9: The United Arab Emirates has expressed its strong condemnation and condemnation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reprehensible and provocative statements regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia. It also affirmed its categorical rejection of these unacceptable statements, which are in flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The UAE’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast opposition to any threats to its security, stability, and sovereignty were reiterated by Foreign Minister Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar. “The UAE considers Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty to be an unbreakable’red line’ that no nation should cross,” the minister emphasised.
He also emphasised the importance of halting settlement projects that endanger regional security and opportunities for peace and harmony, and the UAE’s categorical condemnation of any attempt to displace Palestinians or violate their fundamental rights.
In addition, the UN and the international community have obligations to execute in order to put an end to unlawful activities that contravene international law.
The minister reiterated that the UAE is requesting the Security Council.
Shaheen reiterated the UAE’s longstanding and resolute stance in defending Palestinian rights and emphasised the significance of identifying a viable political solution to end the conflict and create an independent Palestinian state, which reflects the UAE’s conviction that a two-state solution is the only way to achieve regional stability.
