UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan underlined the country’s steadfast commitment to enhancing public health in the UAE and around the world on the occasion of World Health Day.
In an heartfelt message on social media post, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the value of investing in health as a means to build a more resilient and resilient society.

His statement, “Investing in health is an investment in a better future for communities,” emphasized the UAE’s continued efforts to prioritize health and well-being in its development strategy. He stressed that promoting healthy lifestyles, increasing public awareness of disease, and reducing the harmful social and economic consequences of health complications remain among the UAE’s top priorities.

Understanding that the world faces multiple health risks, Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to fostering international cooperation.
“The UAE is committed to supporting international collective action to address them and encouraging innovations and scientific solutions for the common good of humanity,” he added.

This renewed focus aligns with the UAE’s broader 2025 initiative — declared the “Year of Community.” As part of this theme, the President earlier called on all residents of the UAE to contribute to building a stronger, more connected society. “Hand in hand we will work to strengthen social bonds, foster shared responsibility, and unlock potential for inclusive and sustainable growth,” he had noted in January.

Supporting this vision, the UAE has witnessed a rise in global recognition for its well-being efforts, with a notable improvement in the World Happiness Index 2025 — ranking higher than countries like the UK, US, Germany, France, and Singapore, as well as all Arab nations.

The UAE ranks 16th in the world for monetary donations and 19th for volunteer hours, further illustrating its giving culture. Even while there is need for growth in other categories, like aiding strangers, where it comes in at number 67, the country’s trajectory shows a persistent push toward compassion-led leadership and community-driven development.

The UAE continues to develop as a model for sustainable progress and global collaboration, with health and unity at the forefront of its agenda.
