UAE President Engages with NASA Graduates and Emirati Students in Washington
President Sheikh Mohammed met with Emirati students studying at universities in the US and Emirati astronauts Nora Al Matrushi and Mohammed Al Mulla, who recently graduated from NASA’s astronaut training program. The meeting is part of his official visit to America.
At a reception held at the UAE Embassy in Washington, the President noted that he is always happy to meet young Emiratis who are studying at the world’s leading institutions.
He inquired about the welfare and progress of the students, learned about their areas of specialization and emphasized the leadership’s commitment to provide all necessary support to ensure their academic success.
The President reiterated that the UAE’s youth are its true wealth and investing in today’s youth is the best way to shape the nation’s future. He explained that the UAE is moving into a new phase of development that requires the next generation to be well qualified and able to take responsibility.
He encouraged the students to remain determined, acquire knowledge, focus on areas that align with the country’s development vision and ensure that they return home with the necessary skills and expertise to benefit themselves and their country.
President Sheikh Mohammed noted that the world is advancing at an unprecedented speed, especially in the field of advanced technology. Today, those with technical expertise, especially artificial intelligence, hold influence and wealth, because the wealth of the future lies in knowledge and knowledge.
He emphasized that students have a unique opportunity to showcase the progress and achievements of the UAE through their efforts in the US. He explained that students should consider themselves ambassadors who reflect their country’s values, principles and the character of its people in everything they do.
