UAE Leaders Express Condolences Over Kerala Landslides
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed profound condolences in the aftermath of the devastating landslides that have struck the Indian state of Kerala.
The tragic incident, triggered by severe rainfall, led to the collapse of hillsides on Tuesday, resulting in the loss of over 120 lives. Additionally, many individuals remain unaccounted for as the search and rescue operations continue. The catastrophic event has caused significant distress and devastation across the affected regions.
In his message, Sheikh Mohamed extended his deepest sympathies to President Droupadi Murmu, conveying his sorrow over the immense loss of life and expressing solidarity with the people of Kerala during this difficult time. He also offered his heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and wished a prompt and full recovery to those injured in the calamity.
In a show of unity and support, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, along with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, have also sent their condolences. Their messages were directed to both President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing their grief and offering support to the Indian leadership and the people affected by the tragic floods and landslides.
