UAE Introduces ‘Unified Numbers’ to Boost Data-Driven Policies
Enhancing national development through accurate statistics, integrated digital surveys, and strategic decision-making

UAE Launches “Unified UAE Numbers” Initiative to Revolutionize Data-Driven Governance
A national effort has been started by the UAE government to update the nation’s statistical system in order to facilitate evidence-based governance. Unveiled Tuesday, the program calls for cooperation between each local government and the statistical office.
During the inauguration, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, emphasized the need of data-driven management.
“The achievements in statistics and data in the UAE serve as a cornerstone for ongoing development efforts, uniting us as a unified national team,” he said.
The initiative, dubbed “Unified UAE Numbers,” focuses on three key areas: fostering a resilient economy, improving social welfare, and promoting sustainability and renewable energy. It aims to streamline the national statistical release calendar and ensure the accurate production of key national indicators.
The initiative also aims to enhance the UAE’s global competitiveness by providing comprehensive data on GDP, inflation, foreign investment, infrastructure and other key sectors.
Enhancing the UAE’s position in global rankings and fostering international collaboration are the objectives of the project.
One of its primary features is the project’s transition to integrated digital surveys and state-of-the-art data collection methods. Using modern technology and digital platforms, it aims to establish a single data environment.
This will facilitate strategic decision-making to drive national development.
“With the availability of data, the UAE government can make well-informed decisions and policies supported by accurate and comprehensive statistics, which enhances the country’s competitiveness in key growth sectors,” said Sheikh Mansour.
