Dubai Municipality Initiates 8th Edition of ‘Hatta Honey Festival’ to Boost Beekeeping Sector
Tomorrow marks the start of Dubai Municipality's eighth 'Hatta Honey Festival,' supporting the local beekeeping industry

The festival, extending until December 31, will host nearly 60 local beekeepers, showcasing a diverse range of honey products. Part of the inaugural Hatta Festival, it presents a chance for attendees to explore various honey varieties, learn about their distinct qualities, and understand differentiation methods.
Organized annually by Dubai Municipality, the festival aims to uplift the beekeeping industry across the UAE, emphasizing quality, health, and safety standards. It serves as a platform for beekeepers to share insights and enhance product quality while contributing to the economic growth of Hatta’s residents and local SMEs.
Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized the festival’s role in bolstering entrepreneurship, promoting local products, and aligning with the Hatta Comprehensive Development Plan initiated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Featuring diverse activities and workshops, the festival invites participation from 10 am to 10 pm at Dubai Municipality’s Hatta Hall. Attendees can engage in recipe workshops, honey-related crafts, and artistic sessions for children. It also includes various performances and gaming zones for kids.
The municipality will provide lab services for instant honey testing and safety checks for food products at the event, in line with its commitment to environmental sustainability and public health. This year’s festival is part of the ‘Shetana in Hatta’ season, showcasing cultural and heritage events, highlighting Dubai’s vibrant tourism offerings.
