UAE food aid shipment reaches Gaza
Maritime Corridor from Cyprus: Shipment Reaches Gaza

UAE Aid Shipment of 252 Tons Reaches Gaza, Alleviating Humanitarian Crisis
Dubai witnessed a momentous event as a substantial aid shipment from the United Arab Emirates, carrying 252 tons of essential food supplies, arrived in Gaza. The delivery, orchestrated through collaborative efforts involving multiple nations and international organizations, marks a significant step in addressing the pressing humanitarian needs of the region.
Traversing the maritime corridor from Larnaca in Cyprus, the aid shipment epitomizes the spirit of cooperation and solidarity. The involvement of the United States, Cyprus, United Kingdom, European Union, and United Nations underscores the global commitment to providing support to those in need.
Upon its arrival in Gaza, the supplies were swiftly unloaded at UN warehouses situated in Deir Al-Balah, poised for distribution among the vulnerable Palestinian population. This collective effort reflects a shared determination to alleviate the suffering and hardship endured by the people of Gaza.
Reem Al-Hashimy, the Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation, emphasized the collaborative nature of the endeavor. Her statement underscored the UAE’s unwavering commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, guided by the principled leadership of the nation.
In the face of escalating conflict since October, the UAE has emerged as a stalwart ally, providing substantial humanitarian assistance to Gaza. Through a coordinated effort involving numerous flights, airdrops, and trucks, over 32,000 tons of urgently needed supplies, including food and medical aid, have been dispatched to the region.
However, challenges persist, as the closure of the Rafah border crossing by Israel hampers the seamless delivery of aid. Despite these obstacles, the UAE remains steadfast in its resolve to stand by the Palestinian people during their time of need.
As the World Health Organization highlighted the critical shortage of medical supplies in Gaza, the urgency of the situation cannot be overstated. Yet, with continued international cooperation and concerted efforts, there remains hope for a brighter future for the people of Gaza.
