Indonesian Medical Team Joins Emirati Field Hospital in Gaza
Gaza: An Indonesian multidisciplinary team has joined the Emirati Integrated Field Hospital in war-torn Gaza to assist UAE medical staff in providing essential health services for injured Palestinians, Emirates News Agency Wham reported.
The support comes after a team of 25 Indonesian doctors collaborated with UAE medical professionals to help Palestinian patients reach the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, Egypt.
Ten of these doctors are now part of the field hospital, while the remaining 15 remain in the floating hospital to perform surgeries and provide medical care to patients sent abroad for treatment, WAM said.
In a statement, the UAE said the cooperation is a testament to the strong ties between the UAE and Indonesia, reflecting the importance of the humanitarian role in these difficult situations that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are going through. An ongoing war.”
The UAE has already inaugurated a field hospital in Gaza and a fully equipped floating hospital in Al Arish as part of its humanitarian mission to help the war-affected Palestinians.
In collaboration with various international medical teams, the facilities address critical cases, provide prosthetics and perform surgeries among other humanitarian efforts.
