UAE National Guard Conducted 168 Search and Rescue Operations in Q1 2025

Abu Dhabi. The UAE National Guard Command announced that it carried out 168 domestic and foreign search and rescue operations on land and water in the first quarter of this year. During this time, the Coast Guard conducted 23 search and rescue operations in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, saving numerous lives.

This indicates the National Guard’s continued commitment to enhancing its rapid response capabilities in emergencies and crises during the Community Year.

Meanwhile, the National Search and Rescue Center undertook 145 operations, including 34 search and rescue operations and medical evacuations, in coordination with relevant authorities.

In addition, it conducted 9 medical transport and air ambulance missions within the country and four similar operations abroad. The authorities stated that the latest technology and equipment are used to ensure rapid and effective operation in different geographical areas.

The public was requested to contact the Search and Rescue Emergency Line on 995 or the Coast Guard Emergency Line on 996 in case of any emergency.
