Saudi Arabia has introduced a new platform, the Nusuk Business, under the guidance of Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al Rabiah. Launched during a digital government forum in Riyadh, this initiative aims to elevate private sector services available to pilgrims visiting Saudi Arabia.
The portal’s primary goal is to elevate the quality of services offered to pilgrims during their journeys and to support entrepreneurs, small-scale establishments, and developers providing these services. It emphasizes forging strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in this domain.
Furthermore, the Nusuk Business intends to attract private sector investments and drive digital transformation to streamline pilgrims’ access to all relevant services and products. It operates within a trusted network of service providers accredited by the ministry.
In recent times, Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, has unveiled numerous facilities for Muslims undertaking Umrah or the lesser pilgrimage, showcasing its commitment to enhancing the pilgrimage experience.

Visa holders are permitted entry into Saudi Arabia through all entry points—land, air, and sea.
In a progressive move, Saudi Arabia has announced that its citizens can now extend invitations to friends abroad to visit the kingdom for Umrah, with no requirement for women pilgrims to be accompanied by male guardians. Additionally, the kingdom has declared that expatriates residing in Gulf Cooperation Council countries can apply for tourist visas, irrespective of their profession, enabling them to undertake Umrah.
Anticipating approximately 10 million foreign Muslims for the ongoing Umrah season, Saudi Arabia has seen this season persist for over six months following the annual Hajj pilgrimage, which, after a three-year hiatus due to pandemic-related restrictions, hosted around 1.8 million attendees.
