Iran’s World Cup qualifier against Qatar relocated to UAE due to security concerns
AFC relocates October 15 match to a neutral venue in UAE following missile attacks and heightened tensions

Iran vs Qatar World Cup Qualifier Moved to UAE Amid Security Concerns
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced that the October 15 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Iran and Qatar has been moved to a neutral stadium in the United Arab Emirates due to security concerns.
Iran launched about 180 ballistic missiles at Israel this month. Israel has vowed that Iran will pay for the attack, while Tehran has said any retaliation would be met with mass destruction.
Iran was scheduled to host Asian champions Qatar on October 15, but the decision to change the venue was made after consultation with FIFA and other relevant stakeholders, the AFC said.
The venue of the match is yet to be decided.
