UAE to Welcome 2025 with Record-Breaking Fireworks and Spectacular Celebrations

Abu Dhabi, December 30, 2024– Millions from around the world are set to turn their attention to the United Arab Emirates tomorrow to witness the dazzling shows and celebrations marking the New Year 2025, especially the grand fireworks displays that will take place in most of the country’s emirates.

The extravagant fireworks that the United Arab Emirates hosts on New Year’s Eve are a major draw for both foreign visitors and hundreds of thousands of locals. The country’s dedication to advancing the entertainment sector is demonstrated by these events.

The Supreme Organising Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival at Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi revealed the New Year’s Eve spectacular, which would include a continuous fireworks display for 53 minutes and is intended to break previous records in terms of length, diversity, and scale.

Ahead of the grand fireworks display, 6,000 drones will light up the Al Wathba sky in a 20-minute show starting at 23:40, creating art forms that include the world’s first image of 3,000 drones and a display symbolizing New Year’s aspirations.

In addition, diverse and impressive fireworks displays will be staged at various locations in Abu Dhabi, including the Corniche, Yas Island, Al Hudayriyat Island and elsewhere.

Dubai is preparing to host 45 fireworks displays at 36 strategic locations on New Year’s Eve 2025. These include iconic tourism, hospitality and commercial sites, catering to visitors from all countries.

Dubai authorities have ensured thorough preparations to organize and supervise the mesmerizing fireworks displays that will light up the city’s skies, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all residents and visitors, with the highest safety standards.

The main attractions of Dubai include Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Expo City, Global Village, Jumeirah Beach Hotel (Jumeirah Group), Dubai Design District, Bluewaters (The Beach JBR), Al Seef, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Hatta, and J1 La Mer Beach.

Sharjah will welcome 2025 with an exceptional celebration organized by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). The 25-minute fireworks display will be held at three locations: Al Majaz Waterfront (five minutes), Al Heera Beach (10 minutes), and Khorfarkkan Beach (10 minutes).There will be special activities for individuals of all ages at each venue.

Ras Al Khaimah has finished getting ready to enthrall tourists with spectacular performances, such as laser-effect drone displays and fireworks. The 15-minute show, called Our Story in the Sky, is the longest Ras Al Khaimah has ever organized for the New Year’s festivities, and the emirate hopes to break new Guinness World Records during it.

The show, which consists of three segments inspired by the emirate’s natural beauty, heritage and culture, will culminate in a spectacular display of fireworks and drones at midnight.

Last year, Ras Al Khaimah set two Guinness World Records during its New Year celebrations, for the longest line of floating fireworks and the longest straight drone show.
