UAE: SGCA 2024 Shortlists 46 Finalists Across 12 Countries After Record-Breaking Entries
Sharjah [UAE], August 24: Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) released the list of Sharjah Government Communication Awards (SGCA 2024), 46 candidates from 12 countries are competing in 22 awards, divided into five main categories. The announcement was followed by a record number of 3,815 submissions – 230 percent more than last year. In this edition, the 11th SGCA received 1,129 submissions from 44 countries.
Shortlisted entries are competing for nine awards from government agencies, international organizations and the private sector; four individual awards; Two challenges and competition awards; four jury awards; and three partner awards selected by SGCA’s top committee, which includes experts from various fields in media and communication. Winners will be announced at the Sharjah Government Communications Awards ceremony on September 5 at the Sharjah Expo Center.
The list features candidates from 12 countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Nigeria, Singapore, Australia and the United Kingdom.
The winners of this year’s awards are noteworthy for their extraordinary fortitude, endeavours, and projects that exhibit noteworthy creativity and excellence. Special duties emphasise the private sector’s contributions to communication and how they are used. As a result of the prize’s worldwide reach, entries from several nations were successfully drawn in for the first time, highlighting its inclusion and wide appeal.
