High-level UAE Delegation Explores Partnerships with Indonesia

In a diplomatic stride that traversed continents, the journey began in London as Indonesian President Joko Widodo held a pivotal meeting with Emirati Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al-Mazrouei, in Yogyakarta on Sunday, as reported.
The meeting, a cornerstone of a high-level UAE delegation’s visit to Indonesia, witnessed the presence of the UAE’s ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al-Dhaheri. United in purpose, they explored multifaceted avenues to fortify cooperation between the two nations.
Widodo expressed gratitude for Al-Mazrouei’s visit, emphasizing Indonesia’s earnest interest in fortifying strategic ties with the UAE. Notably, the Indonesian President and Al-Mazrouei jointly inaugurated the Mohammed bin Zayed College of Future Studies in Yogyakarta. This collaborative endeavor between the Mohammed Bin Zayed University for Humanities in Abu Dhabi and the Nahdlatul Ulama society in Indonesia marks a significant milestone in educational diplomacy.
Expanding their diplomatic footprint, the Emirati delegation continued their journey to the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. There, fruitful discussions unfolded with several Indonesian ministers, delving into the latest advancements in joint investment ventures and exploring emerging opportunities across sectors of mutual interest.
Taking the reins, Al-Mazrouei presided over an Emirati-Indonesian roundtable meeting, uniting CEOs and private sector representatives from both nations. The discourse aimed to foster deeper collaboration and exchange, laying the groundwork for enhanced economic partnerships.
Further solidifying diplomatic ties, the Emirati minister engaged with Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, exploring avenues to bolster economic relations with a specific focus on the promotion of halal products. This strategic dialogue underscores the shared commitment to advancing economic ties and fostering prosperity through mutually beneficial initiatives.
