Dubai RTA Unveils ‘Logisty’ App for Enhanced Freight Transport and Logistics
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Sunday announced a new digital platform to provide commercial transport services to consumers and businesses, manage logistics and commercial vehicle fleets, and provide on-demand booking and tracking services.
The new platform, called Logisty, was announced in partnership with TruKKer, the largest digital logistics company in the GCC region, the Middle East and North Africa.
Logisty, which will officially launch for customers this month, includes cutting-edge technological features, including an AI-powered CBM calculator that allows users to estimate the volume of shipments by uploading photos or videos.
It will also provide cutting-edge solutions for freight transport and logistics services, along with the latest innovations in the industry.
“This initiative aligns with the Dubai Commercial Road Transport & Logistics Strategy 2030, the associated roadmap and plans to double the direct contribution of the commercial road transport logistics sector to the emirate’s economy to AED 16.8 billion, and increase technology adoption. The sector’s infrastructure will improve by 75 percent and operational efficiency by 10 percent,” said Matar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA.
He added that it supports the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to elevate Dubai’s position as one of the top three economic cities in the world.
The platform contributes to increasing the operational efficiency of the logistics sector by integrating innovative technologies into its operations, activities and services. Dubai is home to 10,000 commercial transport companies, and the sector is recording a compound annual growth rate of 34%. “The platform aims to improve user experience by providing efficient, seamless and reliable services, further cementing Dubai’s position as a leading logistics hub in the region,” said Al Tayer.
