Kuwaiti Boat in Mumbai: Case Filed Against 3 Onboard
No Suspicious Findings on Kuwaiti Boat: Initial Investigation

Mumbai Police have taken legal action against three individuals for their alleged illegal entry into the city after arriving on a boat from Kuwait, according to an official statement made on February 7, 2024.
The boat, which anchored at the Gateway of India, underwent thorough inspection, revealing no immediate suspicions in the preliminary investigation.
The trio, originally hailing from Tamil Nadu, had traveled to Kuwait for work two years prior. Their decision to escape from Kuwait was reportedly prompted by alleged ill-treatment from their recruiting agent in the foreign country.
The Colaba police in Mumbai registered a case against the three individuals under the

Passports Act for unauthorized entry. The examination of the boat took place upon its arrival at the Gateway of India, and the legal action underscores the seriousness of the situation, emphasizing the commitment to upholding legal protocols and ensuring national security.
The inspection of the boat not only showcases the diligence of law enforcement in safeguarding against potential threats but also raises historical security concerns. The incident draws parallels with the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, where ten Pakistani terrorists entered the city through the sea route.
This underscores the ongoing need for stringent monitoring and regulation of maritime activities to prevent security breaches and uphold public safety.
