FII8 to drive global deals in AI, health tech, and more from Oct 29-31 in Riyadh

Investment Worth $28B Expected at FII8 Summit in Saudi Arabia
Dubai: Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute CEO Richard Attias has announced that a total of $28 billion (Dh102 billion) of deals are expected at this year’s eighth edition of FII.
He made the statement during a pre-event press conference on Tuesday, as he shared details of the eighth edition of the event to be held in the Saudi Arabian capital from October 29 to 31, Saudi news agency Arab News reported.
Attias emphasized that the event will bring together entrepreneurs and start-ups from around the world and foster communication and collaboration among them.
The Summit is dedicated to driving positive change by implementing effective solutions in various fields such as global connectivity, mining, AI, health technology, sports, circular economy, food systems, future economies, arts, culture and other key sectors.
“We try to be not just talkers but also doers. At FII, we bring in real investments and in the last editions deals worth $128 billion were sealed. If you divide that by seven, it is more than $10 billion (value) of deals during FII,” Attias added.
At the conference, Attias underlined the importance of demonstrating positive outcomes of investments through the FII Institute.
According to Attias, investment results in more extensive advantages including the creation of jobs and the enhancement of the environment, going beyond simple cash exchanges.
Attias also emphasized how the FII Institute has developed into a membership-based movement that draws people and groups committed to having a significant influence.
