India-UAE Strengthen Strategic Alliance Amid Global Shifts, Says S Jaishankar
India and the UAE will continue to enhance their international cooperation as the globe enters a “complex” and “volatile” phase with a shifting global order, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated on Monday.
Jaishankar’s three-day visit is intended to strengthen India’s all-encompassing strategic alliance with the UAE, a powerful Gulf state.
“The world has entered a complex and volatile phase as the global order is truly changing,” Jaishankar said at an Abu Dhabi celebration of India’s Republic Day. During these periods, genuine connections are formed and new chances present themselves.
There are numerous similarities between our two nations when considering the state of the world. “I can confidently say that our cooperation on international platforms will strengthen,” he stated.
The Minister emphasized that over four million Indians now call the United Arab Emirates their second home, up from 2.5 million in 2015.
