Grant Thornton in the UAE has strengthened its partner team by welcoming four new partners in recent weeks. The appointments are evenly split between internal promotions and external hires.

Four new partners for Grant-Thornton

Imran Jaffer, hired from a rival firm in Abu Dhabi, joins as a partner in the Restructuring Advisory practice. Faizan Ahmed, recruited from another competitor in Dubai, assumes the role of partner in the Audit and Assurance practice.

Internal promotions include Neha Julka in Dubai, elevated to partner in the Advisory division, and Mohamed ElKhashab in Abu Dhabi, now a partner in the Audit division. Both individuals have contributed over seven years of service to the professional services firm.

Hisham Farouk, CEO of Grant Thornton in the UAE, expressed enthusiasm for the new additions, highlighting the value of their diverse perspectives in driving progress for clients and the firm. Farouk also celebrated the internal promotions, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to talent development.

Imran Jaffer, with a background in banking, credit fund management, and advisory services, brings his expertise in working with listed and unlisted corporates, credit and distressed funds, as well as sovereign wealth funds and private equity firms.

Faizan Ahmed, with 18 years of industry experience, specializes in audit and assurance services across key sectors such as real estate, hospitality, and government-related entities.

Neha Julka, with a proven financial advisory track record, focuses on delivering analysis to regulators, government-backed entities, large conglomerates, family offices, and SMEs. Mohamed ElKhashab possesses extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS), along with expertise in compliance, Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR), and financial due diligence.
