Ensuring Smooth Transportation During Festivities

RTA Dubai Announces Eid Al Adha Services: Free Parking, Extended Metro Hours

As Dubai prepares for the upcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations from June 15 to 18, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a series of service adjustments and operational details to ensure smooth transportation and accessibility across the city.

Parking Services

To facilitate the movement of residents and visitors during Eid Al Adha, RTA has decided to make all public parking spaces across Dubai free of charge during the holiday period. This exemption excludes multi-storey parking terminals, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance convenience for those commuting within the city.

Dubai Metro

The Red and Green Dubai Metro lines will operate on extended schedules to accommodate increased passenger traffic:

  • June 14 and 15: Trains will run from 5:00 am until 1:00 am the following day.
  • June 16: Metro services will operate from 8:00 am to 1:00 am the next day.
  • June 17 to 21 (Monday to Friday): Regular operational hours from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the following day.

These adjusted timings aim to provide reliable and efficient Metro services for commuters and holidaymakers throughout the festive period.

Dubai Tram

Similarly, the Dubai Tram will operate with extended hours during Eid Al Adha:

  • Monday to Saturday: Trams will run from 6:00 am to 1:00 am the following day.
  • Sunday: Operating hours will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 am the next day.

The extended operating hours of the Tram system ensure seamless connectivity and accessibility for passengers traveling across key areas of Dubai.

Dubai Bus Services

Passengers relying on Dubai Bus services during Eid Al Adha are advised to check for updated schedules through the S’hail app. This mobile application allows users to access real-time information on bus routes, timings, and any changes in service operations, ensuring efficient transportation services throughout the holiday period.

Vehicle Testing and Service Centres

RTA’s service facilities, including Customer Happiness Centres, Paid Parking Zones, Public Buses, Dubai Metro, Tram, Marine Transport means, and Service Provider Centres (Vehicle Testing), will observe specific adjustments during Eid Al Adha:

  • All Service Provider Centres will remain closed throughout the Eid Al Adha holidays, with technical testing services set to resume on July 18.

Customer Happiness Centres

During Eid Al Adha, RTA’s regular Customer Happiness Centres will be closed to the public. However, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located at Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA Head Office will continue to operate 24/7. These centres provide essential services and support to customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.

RTA’s comprehensive preparations for Eid Al Adha underscore its commitment to providing reliable, convenient, and efficient transportation services across Dubai. By offering free parking, extending Metro and Tram operating hours, and leveraging digital platforms for bus schedules and customer support, RTA aims to enhance mobility and ensure a seamless experience for residents and visitors during the festive holiday.
