UAE Strengthens Global Ties at International Geological Survey Meeting in Riyadh

Abu Dhabi [UAE], January 20: The Fourth International Mining Conference, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featured an International Geological Survey Meeting, in which the United Arab Emirates (UAE) actively participated.

The primary objective of the meeting was to develop and strengthen international cooperation in the mining sector, with a strong emphasis on improving geological capabilities. The objective of this project is to increase the production of vital minerals that are vital to the advancement of industrial development and the global energy transition.

Ali Qassim, the director-general of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, led the UAE team. Members of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure also joined him. Their combined involvement demonstrated the United Arab Emirates’ unwavering dedication to working with foreign partners to advance quality and innovation in geological exploration.

Throughout the meeting, discussions centered around several important topics, including strategies to enhance capabilities for expanding geological exploration, implementing further exploration efforts, and contributing to scientific advancements. The goal of these coordinated activities is to solve the different issues that geological exploration groups around the world face.

One of the event’s main highlights was the start of a big worldwide project to create three crucial coordinating groups. These institutions will focus on developing talent, improving data access and establishing a geospatial hub of excellence – a significant hub for information sharing and technical knowledge.

The enthusiastic engagement of the UAE delegation demonstrated how important it is to promote cooperation and build relationships among the participating countries. They called for careful application of the recommendations made at the conference and underlined the need for continued collaboration. This strategic approach is expected to yield better results when it comes to growing mining and geospatial activities, which will ultimately benefit the entire industry.
