Dubai Welcomes Santa Chauffeurs Spreading Christmas Cheer and Joy

A new startup is providing chauffeur services with drivers dressed in festive red suits

In the vibrant cityscape of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, this festive season comes with a unique twist – Santa Claus might just be your chauffeur! A Dubai-based start-up, Zofeur, has embarked on a merry marketing tactic that is spreading holiday joy across the bustling streets of these two iconic cities. While Santa won’t be accompanied by his trusty reindeers and sleigh, he promises to make your journey not only comfortable but also brimming with cheerful surprises, including extra gifts of candies and chocolates.

The brainchild of this festive endeavor is Zofeur, a company offering chauffeur services with a delightful twist. The marketing extravaganza kicked off on a cheerful note last Wednesday and will continue its festive ride until Christmas Day, specifically catering to evening rides from 6 pm onwards.

Among the Santa chauffeurs making this Yuletide adventure possible is Ronald Asaba, a 37-year-old Ugandan expat, who sees his mission as creating memorable experiences for passengers during this Christmas season. In an interview with Khaleej Times, Ronald shared, “We believe in creating unforgettable moments for our customers and passengers. The sight of Santa Claus behind the wheel – all jolly and merry – transforms a simple ride into a magical experience, especially for families and little ones.”

Dressing up as Santa Claus is not just a festive costume choice; it’s a tradition deeply rooted in the cultural and historical aspects of Christmas. Ronald expresses the joy they bring to their customers, saying, “Our passengers are loving the concept, and they feel more connected with our service than ever because of its relatability to the celebrations.”

Selfie with Santa

A ride with Santa isn’t complete without capturing the festive moments on social media. Another Santa chauffeur, Jjemba Ronald, a 27-year-old Ugandan, highlights the surprise element, saying, “Customers are loving this concept as this comes as a surprise for them. They love to take selfies with us and post them on their social media.” To add sweetness to the experience, they offer candies and sweets as snacks during the journey.

Reflecting the spirit of giving, the Santa chauffeurs symbolize more than just a festive costume. Jjemba notes, “Just as Santa brings gifts and goodwill, we Santa chauffeurs also symbolize the spirit of giving. It’s our way of expressing gratitude and giving back to our valued customers and passengers during this special time of the year.”

Services of Santa

Beyond the joy and laughter they bring, safety is a top priority for the Santa chauffeurs. Jjemba emphasizes, “Safety is non-negotiable for us, and we have been trained properly with the do’s and don’ts in various scenarios. We are always vigilant and follow the rules when driving and interacting with our passengers.” Ronald adds, “We are thoroughly trained on how to provide a smooth and comfortable experience for our passengers. We obey speed limits and remain aware of our surroundings at all times.”

Zofeur, the driving force behind this festive initiative, is an on-demand pay-per-minute chauffeur services platform available for download on iOS and Play Store. While there is no minimum usage or commitment, it’s advisable to pre-book chauffeurs to avoid delays during the festive period, as only five percent of the entire Zofeur chauffeurs offer Santa services.

This Santa-driven chauffeur service isn’t confined to the streets of Dubai; the Santa drivers are ready to embark on one-way trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, spreading the holiday spirit across both cities. “Ho, ho, ho,” exclaims Ronald, inviting customers to enjoy a ‘sleigh’ ride together with just the tap of a button. As Dubai and Abu Dhabi become the backdrop for this festive spectacle, Zofeur’s Santa chauffeurs aim to make every journey a joyful and memorable experience during this special time of the year.
