UAE and Maldives Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through High-Level Diplomatic Meeting

In Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdullah Khaleel, the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of the Maldives, was welcomed by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister.
The two senior diplomats talked about the two nations’ bilateral ties, potential areas of collaboration, and strategies to improve collaboration in a number of areas, such as trade, investment, the economy, renewable energy, and the climate.
In addition to welcoming Dr. Khaleel’s visit, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah underlined the UAE’s commitment to strengthening advantageous relations with the Maldives in order to advance both countries’ development goals and offer prosperity and well-being to their respective populations.
Opinions were exchanged on topics of common interest and a variety of regional and global issues of mutual significance.
The meeting was attended by State Minister Ahmed Al-Sayegh and Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajeri.
