Sheikh Mohammed Launches New Edition of Arab Hope Makers to Celebrate Community Heroes
Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the launch of a new edition of the Arab Hope Makers Initiative. People who are making a tangible difference in their communities across the Arab world.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed in a tweet shared on his X account that hope transforms communities. “Humans live by hope, and communities are built on the power of hope. The greatest challenges become easier when faced with true faith. While some spread despair and disillusionment in our region, we spread hope and optimism.
“In every village and city, there are people who dedicate themselves to building hope in their communities, spreading goodness in their countries, and helping those around them.”
“We seek them out to honor, celebrate, and serve as role models for all,” said the UAE Vice President. “Today, we are launching a new edition of the Arab Hope Makers. We will seek them out in every community, every village, and neighborhood to celebrate and empower them.

The Arab Hope Makers is the largest initiative of its kind in the Arab world, honoring individuals and organizations with philanthropic efforts that seek to improve lives.
The initiative celebrates humanitarian projects that address challenges faced by communities across various sectors, help alleviate the suffering of those in need, and empower marginalized groups. It highlights people of faith who dedicate their time and efforts to making a positive difference in society without seeking personal gain or recognition.
The Arab Hope Makers Initiative was launched in 2017 under the umbrella of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, a UAE-based organization that brings together a wide range of humanitarian, social, development and empowerment organizations and projects.
It implements the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to inspire Arab youth to spread hope, combat despair and despair, and actively participate in shaping their future.
By highlighting the inspiring stories of the unsung heroes of the Arab world, Arab Hopemakers aims to support their humanitarian, relief and social development projects and campaigns. The initiative is open to self-nominations or public nominations from Arab individuals, volunteer groups or non-profit organizations in any part of the world.
Five finalists were selected after several evaluation stages and field visits that assessed the impact and scope of their social humanitarian initiatives. The finalists are celebrated at a grand ceremony in Dubai before each taking home Dh1 million to support their humanitarian efforts.
