Dubai Duty Free Draw: Rs 8 crore each for two Indian groups

Emirates-based winners Abdul Azeez and Naseer Arikkoth join the growing list of Indian millionaires in the Millennium Millionaire series

Two Indian Expat Groups from Kerala Win Rs 8 Crore Each in Dubai Duty Free Draw

Two groups of Indian expatriates from Kerala in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) won a staggering one million dollars (Rs 8,39,79,150) in the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire draw held on Wednesday, September 11.

Abdul Azeez, 38, an Indian national based in Dubai, won Millennium Millionaire Series 472 with ticket number 3361 purchased on August 31.

Abdul Azeez, who works as a driver/messenger in a company, has been living in Dubai for 12 years. He bought the ticket with his brother and two friends.

“I was very happy when I heard that my name was announced in the live draw on your Facebook page. Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this life-changing opportunity,” said Abdul Azeez.

The second group
In the second group, 48-year-old Sharjah-based Indian national Naseer Arikkoth became a millionaire with a winning ticket bought by nine other friends and family members.

He won Millennium Millionaire Series 473 with ticket number 1617 purchased online on August 4.

Arikkoth , who works as a supervisor at a supermarket, has lived in Sharjah for 13 years.

“Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free! It is a wonderful blessing for all of us,” he said.

Azeez and Arikkoth are the 235th and 236th Indian nationals to win $1 million since the Millennium Millionaire show began in 1999. Indian nationals are among the top buyers of Millennium Millionaire Dubai Duty Free tickets.

Another winner
Muhammad Najmul Hasan, an Indian citizen from UAE, won the Finest Surprise Series 595 luxury motorbike purchased online on September 4.
