UAE and India Sign MoU to Boost Public Sector Audit Cooperation

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, UAE Accountability Authority, Supreme Audit Institution of the UAE in a bilateral meeting with the President of the UAE Accountability Authority. Signed.

During the signing ceremony, CAG of India Girish Chandra Murmu expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “This MoU is a testament to the shared values ​​and goals of our institutions and strengthens the strong relationship between India and the UAE.” He added that the agreement will provide an opportunity for greater collaboration and learning among the Supreme Audit Institutions.

The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two apex audit institutions with a focus on areas such as knowledge sharing, capacity building and best practices in public sector auditing. By sharing expertise and experiences, both countries seek to strengthen their audit practices and improve overall governance.

Humaid Ubaid Khalifa Ubaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority, emphasized the importance of the MoU in improving external audit practices and strengthening bilateral relations. He pointed out that this cooperation will contribute to better governance and accountability in both countries.

The MoU marks an important step in strengthening public sector audit cooperation between India and the UAE and paving the way for greater transparency, efficiency and accountability in government operations.
