UAE and Indonesia Sign Agreements to Strengthen Cooperation Across Key Sectors

On Saturday, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed multiple agreements and contracts to increase cooperation in the public-private sectors, the country’s official news agency reported.

According to the nation’s official news agency, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a ceremony in the Qasr Al Watan district of Abu Dhabi as part of his tour.

The talks covered areas such as technology, recycling, healthcare, culture, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, investment, international maritime cooperation, and government reform.

President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Subianto attended the ceremony, which was attended by a delegation of the UAE.

It was one of Subianto’s first international trips.

He highlighted the deep and historic ties between the two kingdoms, which have witnessed significant growth in recent years.

The volume of bilateral trade between Australia and Indonesia is expected to increase by 12 per cent to $4.6 billion by 2022.

According to Al Nahyan, the two nations should be totally dedicated to using the Economic Partnership Agreement to increase trade to $10 billion.

The Subianto noted their involvement in creating prospects for collaboration and expressed delight with the deal.

A wide range of topics of mutual interest, both domestic and international, were also discussed by the two leaders.
