UAE and Slovenia Sign MoU to Establish UAE-Slovenian Business Council
ABU DHABI [UAE] November 4: The United Arab Emirates Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UAE Chambers) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the UAE-Slovenian Business Council.
The signing took place during a meeting organized by the UAE Chambers in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Slovenia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting was attended by Humaid Bin Salem, Secretary General of the UAE Chambers, together with Slovenia’s high-level government and business delegation, led by Slobodan Sesam, Director General of Economy and Public Diplomacy of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussions focused on ways to improve cooperation between the business communities in the UAE and Slovenia.
The agenda includes measures to improve business and investment partnerships, expand areas of cooperation and open direct communication channels between the UAE private sector and its Slovenian counterparts.
Increasing bilateral trade, increasing dual imports and exports in key sectors of mutual interest and diversifying quality and future investments, particularly in healthcare, logistics, information and communication technology, e-commerce, tourism, real estate, financial services and insurance. , and agricultural technology.
Humaid bin Salem said, “The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Slovenia are enjoying growing economic and trade relations, supported by joint efforts to elevate these relations to broader horizons that serve the development interests of both countries.”
He emphasized the willingness of the UAE business community to develop bilateral relations with the business community in Slovenia, noting that Slovenia acts as a gateway for Emirati business owners and investors seeking to enter the Eastern and Central European market.
The establishment of the UAE-Slovenian Business Council will help build communication bridges between the two countries’ business communities and raise awareness of the UAE’s investment environment and climate, which, thanks to its prime strategic location, acts as a gateway. to a consumer market of more than two billion people.
He said the UAE could serve as an important launch pad for Slovenian companies looking to enter markets in the region, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the African continent.
