UAE’s Pioneering Role in Cloud Seeding: Breakthroughs at the International Rain Enhancement Forum
Experts Praise UAE's Leadership in Weather Modification with Drones and Innovative Research

UAE’s Cloud Seeding Innovation Recognized at International Rain Enhancement Forum
The UAE was praised for its pioneering work in cloud seeding technology at the International Rain Enhancement Forum held in Abu Dhabi. The seminar recognized the country’s leadership in the field, with experts praising its cutting-edge and significant efforts to advance rain enhancement technologies.
Luca Delle Monache, a well-known researcher at the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes, praised the UAE’s pioneering cloud-seeding operations. He emphasized the substantial advances made in the usage of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or drones, which were on display at the event.
Delle Monache stated that these UAVs might considerably increase the efficiency and precision of cloud seeding operations, hence surpassing the limits of prior approaches. The adoption of such technology marks a significant advancement in the UAE’s efforts to develop weather modification capabilities.
Delle Monache also shared insights into his award-winning research work, which has garnered global notice. His idea, which is financed by the UAE Research Programme for Rain Enhancement Science, was recognized in the fourth cycle and is currently in its final stages. The initiative, which is expected to be completed in August, will assist the region create novel rainfall augmentation and climate adaption techniques. This accomplishment reflects the UAE’s status as a global leader in innovative solutions to environmental and weather problems.
