UAE and France Strengthen Bilateral Ties with Focus on Strategic Cooperation
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, held talks with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Parrott to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
In light of the strong and enduring relationship between the UAE and France, the leaders of the two countries discussed ways to deepen strategic ties in various fields during their meeting in Abu Dhabi. In his congratulatory message to Minister Parrott, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the close historical and cultural ties between the two countries.
The discussions also covered important international concerns, global updates and regional trends. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron met at the Elysee Palace in Paris earlier this year to discuss expanding their cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and culture. This meeting comes after a major diplomatic exchange.
The leaders also addressed critical areas such as climate action, energy, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. The UAE and France, aligned in their vision for a prosperous future, have already strengthened ties with initiatives like the Comprehensive Strategic Energy Partnership established in 2022 and the launch of the UAE-France Bilateral Climate Investment Platform in 2024.
