Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, India launches international outreach to strengthen anti-terror alliances following the Pahalgam attack

India Sends Strong Anti-Terror Message Abroad: All-Party Delegations Reach UAE and Japan Under ‘Operation Sindoor’

In a significant diplomatic outreach, two of seven Indian all-party delegations arrived in Abu Dhabi and Tokyo on Thursday as part of Operation Sindoor — a concerted five-nation mission aimed at unifying international opinion against terrorism and highlighting India’s firm stance following the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha is leading the group to Tokyo, which also includes important politicians from other parties, such as Ambassador Mohan Kumar, BJP MPs Dr. Hemang Joshi, Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, and Pradan Baruah, as well as TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee and CPI(M) MP John Brittas. The group’s agenda is to hold high-level discussions with Japanese counterparts and strategic stakeholders to present India’s position on cross-border terrorism and its response strategies.

Simultaneously, a second group led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde landed in Abu Dhabi. BJD MP Sasmit Patra, BJP MPs Atul Garg and Manan Kumar Mishra, senior BJP leader S.S. Ahluwalia, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, IMUL MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer, and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy are also on this team. In order to strengthen India’s diplomatic position and foster global agreement on counterterrorism initiatives, the team is interacting with Emirati authorities and thought leaders.

These delegations are part of a broader seven-team initiative dispatched to strategic capitals including UAE, Japan, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone — nations where India seeks to amplify global cooperation against terrorism. The countries also represent important partners in multilateral forums, including the United Nations Security Council.

The multi-party effort highlights that India’s war against terrorism cuts across political boundaries and represents a united national front with representation from all Indian political spectrums. In addition to conveying India’s zero-tolerance policy, their goal is to provide an explanation for the country’s precision counterattacks against terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Following the Pahalgam incident, India devised a well-thought-out action plan called Operation Sindoor, which included these targeted military actions. India’s military forces carried out well-coordinated attacks on terrorist organizations while also using their military readiness and diplomatic skills to prevent further escalation.

Following intense military engagements, a cessation of hostilities was reached after Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) contacted his Indian counterpart, signaling temporary de-escalation. Nevertheless, India remains steadfast in its commitment to dismantle terrorism at its roots.

Through these global missions, India aims to foster solidarity with international allies, expose the continuing threat posed by cross-border terrorism, and solidify strategic partnerships in the collective fight against extremism.
