UAE’s 3F Invests $20M in NextGen Farms and Sustenir Group
UAE-based agri-food technology company Future Foundry (3F) has announced a $20 million investment in NextGen Farms (NGF) and Sustainer Group to build Singapore’s largest plant superfood ecosystem.
In order to establish itself as a dominant agri-technology firm in MENA and Asia-Pacific, 3F is now growing its operational footprint after having previously invested in a number of agri-food technology startups from the UAE.
Operating under the Sustenir name, the united firm hopes to vastly enhance food safety while transforming food sustainability in Singapore. The region benefits from a sustained supply of locally produced, nutrient-dense superfoods, which is generated using sophisticated controlled ecosystem farming techniques and creative superfood manufacturing. This enhances food security and promotes sustainable agriculture practices.
Changing food production
“3F is committed to driving sustainable controlled environment agriculture and food innovation. This investment underscores our commitment to bringing cutting-edge agri-food technology to our reserve markets. We are excited about the potential of this merger to transform food, production and availability in the region,” said 3F’s Co-Founder and Managing Director. Director Leo Musatov said.
NGF specializes on producing nutrient-dense crops, including superfoods like spinach and cabbage, by adopting state-of-the-art controlled environment farming techniques. Our goal has always been to use cutting-edge, technological solutions to change agriculture. The partnership with Sustenir allows us to combine the cutting-edge technology of NextGen Farms with Sustenir’s superfoods platform,” stated NGF founder Balaji Potala.
“Sustainer is a pioneer in growing and bringing superfoods to consumers. Having built the superfood salad category with favorites like Kinky Kale and Kalming Kale, we are excited to deepen our innovation capabilities and expand our portfolio through this tie-up with NextGen Farms,” said Jack Moy, CEO of Sustainer Group. “Demand for sustainable and functional superfoods will continue to grow, and we can play a bigger role in benefiting communities.”
High tech solutions
Founded in June 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 3F develops, develops, manages and distributes advanced high-tech solutions for sustainable superfoods, controlled ecosystem agriculture and alternative proteins.
The company is focusing on developing R&D, manufacturing and distribution facilities in partnership with local government agencies in the UAE and Singapore, and plans to establish additional operational centers in the MENA region and Asia-Pacific.
