UAE Leaders Congratulate Pakistan on 77th Independence Day

President Sheikh Mohammed on Wednesday sent greetings to President Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Court, sent similar messages.

Sheikh Mohammed then shared a message of goodwill towards Pakistan’s leadership and people, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to working with the Islamic nation in the future.

“I extend my warmest greetings to the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on its 77th Independence Day,” he wrote in X.

“As Pakistan continues its journey towards progress and stability, the UAE reiterates its firm commitment to strengthen our cooperation, explore new opportunities for growth and work together to build a future of prosperity and success.

“Happy Independence Day to our Pakistani friends.”

This was followed by a huge celebration to mark the occasion at the Dubai World Trade Center on Sunday.

Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak, Pakistan Ambassador to UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and dignitaries and diplomats were present.

Attended by more than 10,000 people, Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.

“Our culture, politics, business and people-to-people relations are deeply rooted in shared values ​​and beliefs and provide a strong and stable foundation for our close relations, now and in the future,” he said.

“We have hope and strong determination to achieve progress and peace in all corners of the world. We are determined to capitalize on the growing and growing special place of both Pakistan and the UAE in world affairs.

The UAE and Pakistan share a long-standing relationship that has been strengthened by strategic partnership and economic ties.

Since its founding in 1971 by the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the country has been a major supporter of Pakistan’s development.
