Scheduled to commence on March 25th and conclude on April 14th, this extended vacation coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and the joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the academic calendar for the year 2024-25, schools will resume classes on April 15th after the conclusion of the holidays. Notably, the holiday period extends five days beyond the conclusion of the Eid-ul-Fitr festival, ensuring ample time for students and families to observe and celebrate religious traditions.
This year, Ramadan is expected to commence on March 11th or 12th, adding to the significance of the academic break. Within the second semester, which commenced on January 2nd, students are allotted a total of 59 study days, emphasizing the importance of balanced academic schedules.
Private schools in Dubai have already announced their plans to resume classes on April 15th following the conclusion of the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has clarified that the academic year will not conclude before June 28th, ensuring sufficient time for educational endeavors and assessments.
Additionally, the KHDA will finalize holiday dates once the UAE authorities officially announce the dates of Ramzan and Eid-ul-Fitr, ensuring alignment with religious observances and community celebrations. As preparations ensue for this anticipated break, students and educators alike eagerly anticipate the opportunity for rest, reflection, and cultural observance during this auspicious period.
