UAE Ministry of Finance Launches Humanitarian and Social Initiatives During Ramadan

Strengthening Social Responsibility and Volunteerism

Abu Dhabi [UAE], March 27: In line with its commitment to social responsibility and social welfare, the UAE Ministry of Finance has launched significant humanitarian and social programs during the holy month of Ramadan.
These initiatives are in line with the “Social Year 2025”, a nationwide campaign to promote social cohesion, help marginalized communities and improve general social well-being.

Key Programs for Ramadan

One of the Ministry’s Ramadan programs is “Ramadan Mir”, which provides food parcels to low-income families.
“Supporting Humanitarian Causes” focuses on providing medical and financial assistance to struggling people. For impoverished communities, it organizes Iftar programs “inspired by Zayed’s generosity”. Children and those with functional needs receive gifts on Eid through “Eid Gifts for Us”.

Commitment to Social Solidarity

The Ministry of Finance’s Undersecretary, Younis Haji AlKhoori, highlighted that these programs are a reflection of the Ministry’s commitment to encouraging kindness, volunteerism, and community collaborations between the public and private sectors.
Beyond providing urgent aid, he emphasized, these initiatives seek to establish a long-lasting giving culture that is consistent with the UAE’s fundamental humanitarian principles.

Community Participation and Impact

More than 50 Ministry volunteers participated in the “Ramadan Mir” campaign, which was organized in partnership with the Family Care Authority and Emirates Red Crescent and gave food baskets to families in need.
In collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, the “Supporting Humanitarian Cases” initiative provided financial and medical assistance to people dealing with critical medical issues. With iftar handouts, “Inspired by Zayed’s Generosity,” which took place on Zayed Humanitarian Day (19th Ramadan), helped more than 1,500 people, mostly blue-collar workers. 50 people were delighted by “Eid Gifts on Us,” which was held in Dubai in collaboration with the Rashid Centre for People of Determination. The principles of community service and inclusivity were reinforced.

Inspired by the principles of generosity and solidarity promoted by the UAE’s leadership, the Ministry of Finance continues to fulfill its purpose of fostering a more compassionate and cohesive society through these significant initiatives.
