UAE private firms urged to meet Emiratisation target deadline

Emiratisation compliance deadline set for December 31 as MoHRE pushes for skilled UAE national employment

Private Firms in UAE Urged to Meet Emiratisation Targets Before Year-End

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) on Wednesday, December 25, called on private sector organizations to achieve their Emiratization targets by Tuesday, December 31.

Organizations with 50 or more employees are required to increase the Emiratization of skilled positions by 2 percent by the end of this year.

The same deadline applies to some small companies with 20 to 49 employees in fast-growing economic sectors. These companies must employ at least one UAE national and have Emiratis employed before January 1, 2024.

More than 124,000 Emiratis are currently working in the private sector, and more than 23,000 companies have succeeded in achieving their immigration targets.

MoHRE urged companies to use the Nafis platform to connect with Emirati job seekers in various specialties and thereby help them achieve their goals.

It stressed the effectiveness of its monitoring system in detecting fraudulent practices and imposes penalties such as downgrading and a fine of Dh96,000 for non-compliance with the classification system.

MoHRE urged Emirati job seekers to verify the legitimacy of job offers and report violations of the Emiratization policy through the MoHRE call center or its app to prevent fraudulent activities.
