RTA Extends Dubai Metro Hours on November 10 for Dubai Ride Event
The Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA) announced on Friday that the Dubai Metro Red Line and Green Line will operate from 3.00 am to 12 midnight on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
This extended time is to accommodate people joining the Dubai Ride.
Dubai Ride, the region’s largest community cycling event, returns on Sunday for its fifth edition. This event gives everyone – regardless of age or ability – the chance to experience Dubai on two (or more) wheels.
Dubai Ride Lanes will open to the public at 5am, with cyclists starting their journey at 6.15am and ending at 8am.
The challenging 12 km route and speed laps will provide a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of high-speed cycling on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Participants must maintain a minimum speed of 30 kmph in order to participate. They have to obey the Dubai Ride Marshals’ directions and ride a bike that can endure this speed.
Karim, a bike-sharing startup, has teamed with Dubai’s RTA to provide free bike rentals to residents and visitors attending the event.
