UAE: Delegates from various countries visit BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi ahead of inauguration, Bhutan’s ambassador describes it as a pilgrimage site

Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sanjay Sudhir hosted several diplomats from across the world ahead of the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. All diplomats were pleased to see the temple’s architecture, intricate motifs and messages of unity.
A post issued by the Indian Embassy in UAE on social media platform X said, less than a month is left for the inauguration of the BAPS Temple. Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir hosted diplomats from around the world on a special tour of the temple. They were all amazed to see the architecture and intricate motifs of the temple.
Invitation to representatives of 42 countries:
According to the release issued by BAPS Hindu Mandir, Indian Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir had invited representatives of 42 countries. These include Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Canada, Chad, Chile, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Egypt, European Union, Fiji, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, Representatives from Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Poland, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Syria, Thailand, UAE, UK, US, Zimbabwe and Zambia were included.
About 60 dignitaries were welcomed with garlands. Along with this, a sacred thread was also tied to him to show the importance of his presence. Indian Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir welcomed the guests with a short address. He said, ‘It seemed impossible, but the dream came true.’
The temple will be inaugurated in February:
Swami Brahmaviharidas, head of BAPS Hindu Temple Project, expressed gratitude to India and UAE. Nepal’s Ambassador to UAE Tej Bahadur Chhetri described the temple as a pilgrimage site. He further said, ‘It is an inspiring building, which tells us about love, harmony and tolerance. This is something that we can give as a gift to our future generations. Mahant Swami Maharaj is a great sage. It was from him that people got inspiration to build the temple. This is a big success.
Rajdoor Sorayut Chasombat of Thailand said, ‘This is my best experience so far in the UAE. I have been seeing the end since the construction of this temple. I want to say that this is an example of harmony. I express my gratitude to India and UAE.
The visit by representatives of various countries was to promote their country’s cultural interaction, peace and political relations with the UAE. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mahant Swami Maharaj are going to inaugurate this temple on 14th February.
