UAE Aims to Boost Cooperation with Bangladesh

UAE President and Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
During a phone conversation with Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus, United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that his country is keen to enhance cooperation in the coming times to advance the interests of both countries and realize the aspirations of their respective people.
The main Arab trading partner is the UAE. Many businessmen from Bangladesh export commodities to East African countries through its ports.
According to the Chief Advisor’s press office, the UAE President congratulated the Chief Advisor on taking charge as the head of the interim government of Bangladesh.
During the telephone conversation, Sheikh Mohammed expressed hope that Chief Advisor Professor Yunus and the interim government will bring prosperity to Bangladesh. He lauded his imaginative leadership for transforming the Gulf Arab nation into one of the most successful countries in the world.
According to the Chief Advisor, Bangladesh has been a close friend of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for many years, and millions of people have found employment there, making it a major source of remittances for the South Asian nation.
Prof. According to Yunus, the UAE has supported the people of Bangladesh in the wake of significant natural disasters and has been a gracious host to a large group of businessmen and skilled and unskilled workers from Bangladesh.
The two leaders discussed matters of mutual concern, such as commerce, investment and growth of employment of labour.
