This package includes a complimentary +3 kg cabin baggage allowance, along with significantly discounted pre-booked prices for +15 kg and +20 kg check-in baggage allowances, ensuring flexibility and ease for guests opting for Xpress Lite fares. Notably, this offering extends to India-UAE routes as well.
With a robust operation comprising over 340 daily flights, Air India Express connects 31 domestic and 14 international airports. Specifically, the carrier operates 195 flights between India and the UAE weekly, encompassing destinations such as Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain. Across the Gulf region, the airline operates 308 flights weekly.
Aloke Singh, managing director of Air India Express, emphasized the carrier’s plans to expand capacity to the Gulf region, including the UAE, while enhancing connectivity for Gulf travelers across Tier 2 and 3 cities in India.
In addition to the standard cabin baggage allowance of 7kgs, Air India Express offers passengers traveling on Xpress Lite fares the option to pre-book an additional 3kg cabin baggage complimentary during booking or subsequently via the airline website or mobile app’s ‘Manage’ or ‘Check-in’ sections.
Should passengers require check-in baggage services later, they can conveniently pre-book additional allowances at discounted rates for 15kg and 20kg excess baggage slabs. Alternatively, guests can purchase check-in baggage services at the airline’s counters at the airport.
Ankur Garg, chief commercial officer of Air India Express, emphasized the potential of Xpress Lite Fares across the carrier’s domestic and international network to redefine convenience in air travel while delivering exceptional value.
