In Abu Dhabi, the UAE Cyber Security Council and the United Nations International Telecommunications Union (ITU) have entered into a comprehensive agreement aimed at strengthening their collaboration and information-sharing mechanisms to effectively combat the escalating cyber threats facing the global community.

This landmark agreement signifies a pivotal step towards developing and enhancing the capabilities of national cybersecurity experts within the UAE and beyond. Zavazava further emphasized the significance of collaboration in bridging the digital divide, particularly for the nearly 3 billion individuals worldwide who lack access to internet and ICT resources. He underscored the ITU’s commitment to working closely with governments to facilitate universal access to affordable and secure internet and communication services, thereby elevating global living standards.
