Zayed Higher Organisation's Global Message of Human Fraternity on World Braille Day

Zayed Higher Organisation Promotes Global Unity on World Braille Day

ABU DHABI, January 4, 2025:

World Braille Day was celebrated by the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, which promoted a global message of peace, tolerance, and fraternity. Inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity, this effort aims to address the increasing need for togetherness in the face of intolerance and separation on a global scale.

Using Braille for Accessibility

In order to promote inclusivity, the organization produced the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation and the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity. This initiative makes sure the document’s principles of respect and coexistence are available to visually impaired people everywhere, increasing its influence in a variety of settings.

Empowering People of Determination

The organization emphasized its role in supporting People of Determination in a video message that included Braille readings in Arabic and English. The Zayed Higher Organization works to establish these people as active members of society and advocates for tolerance in addition to offering necessary services. The Braille initiative emphasizes the idea that inclusion enhances international peace initiatives.

Braille as a Communication Bridge

In honor of World Braille Day, which is observed on January 4 every year, the organization emphasized the value of Braille in promoting social and cultural inclusion.

People with visual disabilities can engage with the universal ideals of the Document on Human Fraternity thanks to the project’s provision of Braille access, which closes gaps in knowledge.

Working Together and Reaching Globally

One hundred Braille copies of the document in Arabic and English have been printed by the organization and sent to important institutions such as the Al-Azhar Library in Egypt. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, 100 Italian Braille copies were donated to the Vatican Library in Rome, guaranteeing that the document’s principles are universal.

Multi-Language Accessibility

Further expanding its reach, the document was also translated into Arabic Sign Language in collaboration with the Emirates Deaf Association, enabling hearing-impaired individuals to connect with its message. Visually impaired employees of the organisation played a pivotal role in producing the Braille editions, reinforcing the inclusive ethos of the initiative.

Symbol of Unity

The organisation also unveiled a symbolic garden featuring the emblem of Human Fraternity at its Al Mafraq headquarters. Members of People of Determination from a variety of countries constructed this garden, which symbolizes the UAE’s dedication to promoting international harmony and cohabitation.

By making sure People of Determination are at the forefront of the conversation about unity and peace, the Zayed Higher Organization has reiterated its commitment to advancing tolerance and inclusivity globally.
