Yemen’s Minister of Information, Moammar Al-Eryani, expressed his sincere appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s constructive stance and unwavering support towards the Yemeni government and its people. Al-Eryani conveyed his gratitude specifically for the second installment of the Kingdom’s grant, a substantial $250 million contribution aimed at bolstering the state’s general budget. The funds were successfully transferred to the central bank in the temporary capital, Aden.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Eryani emphasized that this financial support plays a crucial role in advancing the Yemeni government’s efforts to normalize the situation. It is anticipated to facilitate the fulfillment of key responsibilities, including the payment of state employees’ salaries, economic recovery, restoration of economic balance, and stabilization of the national currency.
He highlighted the continuous support provided by Saudi Arabia to Yemen, encompassing grants, bank deposits, contributions of oil derivatives, and various development projects initiated by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen. Additionally, the efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center were acknowledged for their significant impact.
Minister Al-Eryani expressed deep appreciation for the generous and unlimited support extended by the Kingdom, led by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He noted that this support reflects a steadfast commitment to the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government in Yemen.
The collaborative efforts underscore a broader commitment to the stability and well-being of the Yemeni people, reflecting the enduring friendship and partnership between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
