Weather Alert: Fog Advisory Issued for Coastal Areas in UAE
The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts a day that will be fair to partly cloudy. Light to moderate winds will be blowing, with occasional freshening, particularly in eastern regions, potentially causing blowing dust. A red and yellow fog alert has been issued, warning of reduced horizontal visibility, especially in internal and coastal areas, particularly to the west, from 2 am until 8:30 am Saturday.
Temperatures are expected to climb in some coastal areas, possibly reaching up to 47ºC in certain areas of the country. In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the mercury is projected to rise to 44ºC. Low temperatures could dip to around 30ºC in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and down to 23ºC in mountainous regions.
The night and early hours of Sunday will likely be humid, with a chance of fog or mist forming in certain coastal and internal areas to the west. Humidity levels will range from 30 to 90 per cent in Abu Dhabi and from 25 to 90 per cent in Dubai.
Sea conditions are anticipated to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
