Muhammad Usman, the accomplished middle-order batter hailing from Lahore, Pakistan, has announced his retirement from international cricket after a commendable tenure representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 85 matches across both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). His retirement marks the conclusion of a career marked by notable contributions and milestones for UAE cricket.
Usman’s international journey began with his T20I debut in February 2016 against the Netherlands, followed shortly by his ODI debut against Scotland. Over the course of his career, he amassed a total of 1008 runs in ODIs at an average of 31.50, including one century and four half-centuries. In T20Is, he contributed 891 runs, with three half-centuries showcasing his ability to perform consistently in the shorter format of the game.
One of the highlights of Usman’s career came during the 2016 Asia Cup, where he emerged as a key player for UAE, top-scoring for his team with 176 runs in seven matches.
