UAE Weather Alert: Thunderstorms and Rainfall Sweep Across the Country

Dubai: The UAE is experiencing widespread rain with thunder and lightning, with light to moderate rain expected throughout the day. Don’t forget to carry an umbrella when you go out!
The intensity of the weather conditions was captured in a stunning video posted early this morning by weather monitoring Instagram account storm_ae, which showed thunder and lightning accompanied by thunder and lightning along the UAE coast.

The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) reported that there were occasional showers in several areas. Ghantoot and Al Smeeh in Abu Dhabi had rain, and Dalma Island also saw early-morning rainfall. Significant rainfall was recorded in several areas of Ras Al Khaimah, including Ghalilah, Shaam, Al Rams, Al Halah, and Al Ghayl. Light rain was also felt in Palm Jumeirah, Al Aweer, and Deira, Dubai.
Meanwhile, Ajman and Al Dhaid in Sharjah experienced light showers, while Umm Al Quwain and the Al Dhafra region recorded light to moderate rainfall.

The weather forecast indicates that conditions will remain partly cloudy to fair, with cloud cover increasing at times, leading to more rainfall—particularly over coastal and western regions.

Temperature and Wind Conditions
Interior regions: Highs between 32 and 37°C
Coastal areas: Highs between 28 and 32°C
Mountainous regions: Highs between 25 and 29°C
