UAE Launches 2025 Plan to Enhance Family Values, Emirati Identity, and AI

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has laid out a national action plan for 2025 to strengthen the family system, promote Emirati identity and advance artificial intelligence.

Deputy Chairman Sheikh Mohammed said three key priorities will be on the agenda at the government’s annual meeting in Abu Dhabi on November 4 and 5.

Speaking after chairing a recent UAE Cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan, he called on all parties to help shape the country’s strategies in those sectors in the coming year.

Sheikh Mohammed hailed the achievements of back-to-school efforts when nearly a million students returned to school last week. On the international front, he praised the UAE’s post-coronavirus economic growth and pledged to address financial crime during the first cabinet meeting after the summer break.

“Public safety and security, health, education, financial affairs, social security, housing and utilities are the most important government expenditures,” wrote Sheikh Muhammad X.

Sheikh Mohammed says the UAE’s resources are growing for the benefit of its people and economy.

The number of firms operating in the emirate increased from 405,000 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic to over a million by the middle of this year, a 152% increase.

According to Sheikh Mohammed, the United Arab Emirates has attracted $112 billion in foreign direct investment, placing it second only to the United States in terms of emirates foreign investment projects. The country now ranks fifth in the world in terms of GDP growth.

Sheikh Mohammed said the Cabinet has adopted a national strategy to combat money laundering, financing of terrorism and arms proliferation.

He said the policy would help monitor the practices of financial institutions and virtual asset providers.

The ministers also approved the reconstitution of the Summit Committee for Free Trade Negotiations under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economic Affairs. In addition, the UAE supported joining the International Partnership for Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to promote the Sustainable Development Goals and support measures. to climate change.
